Located in Chapel Hill, NC, the Dr. Lynn Collection & Archive is home to an extensive range of original and digital material including photographs, personal possessions, posters, letters and memorabilia relating to the life and times of one of the great Victorian magicians, Dr. H. S. Lynn.  This material has been compiled in preparation for a forthcoming book on Dr. Lynn.  Ultimately Dean's intentions are to donate the archive and collection to The Magic Circle in London.

Dean became interested in Dr. Lynn one evening after watching an episode of the BBC's Antique Roadshow where the great-grandson of Dr. Lynn appeared on-air filling the expert with amazing stories of his globetrotting great-grandfather.  This kicked off a long-term friendship with the family through a shared passion to learn more about Dr. Lynn and his travels.  As a result, Dean has given lectures and written extensively about various aspects of Lynn's life and is now nearing completion of a comprehensive biography.

In 2018, Dean had the pleasure of locating and erecting a headstone on the unmark gravesite of Dr. Lynn and his wife Kate.

For over twenty years Dean lived in London, England, working for one of the world's leading professional services firms as a Senior Partner advising health and pharmaceutical companies on corporate strategies.  In 2018 he moved back to the US with his family and currently resides in Chapel Hill, NC where he continues to act as a strategic business advisor to several global organizations.
